Students enrolled in the JD/MBA are required to undertake both MBA and JD subjects, from both Melbourne Law School and Melbourne Business School.
JD subjects
The JD/MBA program requires all students complete 17 compulsory JD program subjects and 5 optional subjects. Students are required to attend orientation.

MBA subjects
JD/MBA students are required to complete all compulsory subjects in the MBA program, including the two week intensive World of Management subject and a compulsory orientation week.
The MBA component also requires the selection of five elective subjects. Students may choose MBA electives from the following disciplines:
Finance & Accounting; International Business Management; Strategy, Competition & Governance; Public Sector Management; Marketing; Organisations, Human Resources & Managerial Development; Technology & Operations Management; Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

Teaching timetable
The JD/MBA is offered as a full-time study program. Classes at both Schools will generally be scheduled between 8.00am and 5.30pm on weekdays. Some subjects may be taught on weekday evenings or Saturdays.
